Shame Expertise 

There was  a lightbulb moment in which I realised that shame was at the root of so many unhelpful feelings. I found work of the Brene Brown and have never looked back.I have researched shame, and how to best manage it, extenisvely including conducting as the focus of my MSc. 

Shame and Wellbeing

Shame is highly correlated with mental illness and yet we rarely talk about it! It is what lies at the of not feeling good enough. So managing it is critical our self-esteem, wellbeing and belief in our capacity to develop and thrive. 

Shame, education and young people

The growth of Positive Educaiton and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculums has done much to further our understanding of the importance of wellbeing and emotional literarcy so enabling our young people to learn, thrive and to equip them for the world we now live in. So why are we still not talking about shame and edcuation?

Managing shame

Once a light is shone on shame, it can be understood and managed. We need to removed the secrecy that surrounds it and start to safely share our stories to realise that we have so much more in common than we care to acknowledge. Connecting, be vulnerable and open is so often to catalyst to personal and social change.
