The Sisu Foundation

Building upon the successes of Positive Education and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculums, The Sisu Foundation has been established to further our understanding of the role emotions, in particular shame, play in our young people’s capacity to learn, thrive and buttress their belief in their own potential. The foundation aims to deepen our understanding, raise awareness of and provide training on how best to ‘emotionally and psychologically empower’ our young people. With the social mobility and social justice agendas as cornerstones, our ambition is to support young people to be free of the self-limiting beliefs they have often culturally inherited and to equip them with the psychological tools they need to bring their potential to fruition. A series of programmes and campaigns will run alongside a unique private-public coaching partnership.
